ABSURD HERO

About the show

How long can I carry the ball? What is success? Is failure a state of mind? Can I find joy and happiness in my struggle? If the object doesn't care if I beat it, am I really beating it? Absurd Hero reveals a dead-pan, delirious drama between an artist and a large 25 kg heavy red walking globe.

The hero is confronted with different situations, which he can only overcome with perseverance. Inspired by the Myth of Sisyphus by Albert Camus, circus is presented as a potentially joyful, yet endlessly futile endeavor.
"An all-encompassing and original research with the walking globe, which is not only used as traditional circus equipment but itself becomes a storyteller in the show."
