DELUSIONAL "I Killed a Man" is a contemporary circus solo show that embarks on a trans woman´s journey.
The show explores the haunting feeling of having murdered one’s former self, a common experience for many trans women when leaving their assigned gender behind.
Through a multidisciplinary repertoire of circus disciplines such as aerials, dance, singing, and physical theatre, Diana Salles invites us to reflect on the physical and emotional strength it takes to honor one’s deepest truth.
Directed by Firenza Guidi, it highlights the inherent connection between death and rebirth.

BIOGRAPHY
Diana Salles, São Paulo, Brazil
A circus artist, creator, author and activist.
She graduated from the Superior School of Circus Arts (ESAC) in Brussels in 2018 specializing in aerials.
In 2019 she was awarded the bronze medal and the prestigious "Prix de la Ville de Paris" at the 40th Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain in Paris, the silver medal and the Audience's prize at the Iberoamerican Circus Festival (FIRCO), establishing herself as a prominent figure and creator in contemporary circus.
After working with several renowned circus companies and a diverse range of creatives in Europe, Diana started to dedicate her work to the transformative power of connection on stage. Her solo show, DELUSIONAL earned her the Best of Fringe - International Bursary Award at the Amsterdam Fringe Festival, being acclaimed as a touching and socially relevant piece.
Currently Diana tours with her one woman show DELUSIONAL alongside touring with the Welsh National Opera as the Mother of Tadzio in the Opera Death in Venice by Britten, a collaboration between WNO and NofitState circus.
